Feb. 12th, 2004 11:47 amPuter seems to be pretty stable, a few things got lost in the shuffle, but I guess it could have been a lot worse.
On the up side, yesterday the Maelstrom landed on my mat.
Very very impressive, even down to there being a little video on a CD (I say little, 450mg mpeg) which sets the scene wonderfully.
If anyone considering the possibility of going doesn't want to after seeing it, they need their head testing.
Lots of culture/race choices and I really need to think about it, but we'll probably end up being humans again, everything else will fall into place eventually I reckon.
The other great part I spotted was the fact that they've actually thought of and given a discount to people on benefit.
Refreshing, very refreshing
It says professional role playing on the tin, and that's exactly what's on the inside.
Glossy guide, cd, parchment style almanac, and we haven't even booked yet!!!
Two days earlier, the LT 2004 guide 'Rune' arrived.
Seems that Maelstrom have them a little worried and if they don't, it doens't make sense.
Even from the first mailshot it shows as a very professional and well thought out organisation, I can't wait for the first event.
Lokks like it will raise the bar that Omega set.
