So last night then, 'Derek comes to town' AKA An evening with Derek Acorah.
We easily managed to get to Rhyl in plenty of time, in fact we had to wait for the rest of the clan to make it over from Llandudno.
For those that have seen him, and Most Haunted, no explanation needed, for those that haven't, watch it :o)-. Unless of course you don't have Splattelite, then find someone that does, and watch it.
The basic set up of the stage is him, a camera man, and a big screen where you ca see the people he's talking to. Nice and simple, he also gets the houselights turned up so the camera can pick it all up properly.
And basically just explains what he does then starts off chatting to the spirits that have walked on stage and want to speak to someone.
Whether you believe it or not, he is a very good entertainer, and he made quite a few connections, some didn't get a response (could be the people either weren't there or just didn't want to say anything) some took a little bit of thinking to fit, and others seemed to be amazingly accurate.
He got a couple of people that supposedly died of heart attacks or cancer (common enough) but he also got someone that had been hit by a train, and another that had killed himself. Which you have to admit is quite uncommon. But then again that could have been set up. Doubtful though as the ones talking about the suicide were a right common pair, even breaking (not literally you understand) into the gents (they were female, just about) as the queue for the ladies was too long and one of them was about to shit herself.
Make of that what you will.
Good laugh though on the whole.
Other news, looks like the coat I've made for maelstrom will be fine, I just have to make it a better material maybe, but definitely another one in a different colour, just in case I need to have another character ready. but my Bosuns Call has arrived, so should I be able to actually use it properly it may come in handy at the game.
