If they tried that here in London the bus driver would have told the trumpet guy to shut up or get off and the legitimate passengers would have complained that their bus was delayed.
The daily mail would have a story describing the bus company as evil because it made passengers late so they could celebrate their own bus driver's birthday with flowers and champagne that were bought on expenses... and anyway, look at him, he's obviously not from "'round 'ere".
The RMT would threaten to strike unless equivalent birthday celebrations were secured for all their members as well as a 5% pay increase.
