Yesterday and sunday involved, sand, cement, and a circle, in a carpeted garden, helping out [livejournal.com profile] oroboras
I ache today, quite a bit, and we still have more to do today before he offs to France.
Kitten be getting more adventurous by the day, but we need to get her eating biscuits, Splatt seems to have stopped producing and Mia hasn't quite got the hang of the biscuits the entire neighbourhoods cats love, but we shall prevail.
Saw Van Helsing last, and was quite impressed by the slickness of it, and as for Kate Beckinsale in that outfit, what can I say? It was a lot better than I feared it might have been, but I'll need to watch it again just to make sure, twas most amusing at times, but one thing that let it down was the blanket accent that just didn't quite work for me.
Saturday nights tv, channel four showed 'Weapons That Built Britain', great show all about the history of the sword based around one of the battles in the War of the Roses (can't remember which one), which was perfect with it being Tewkesbury weekend, but I can't help think it was very very bad scheduling on C4's part having a large group of people that would have been very interested in (Either to learn or poo poo the accuracy of it) in a field recovering and getting shot faced. Next saturdays episode is on the Long Bow and I look forward to seeing the rest of the series (unless I've already missed most of it) but I think that the sword one needs repeating. Considering Emailing C4 to complain/suggest, when I get time.
Just checked here and I see the sword was the first episode, that's ok then, except due to a party and then Maelstrom I'll need it taping for the next two.
KoL continues unabated, even if the clan I joined has fallen apart at the seams, still I was only in it for the freebies :o)-

Other than that anything else has been forgotten.
I go now :o)-

Ah, the swords thing was excellent - sharp pointy sticks, mmmmm. And [livejournal.com profile] catspur's dad taught one of the guys in it how to fight. Will have to remind Dan to tape the next two.

*hugs* to Mia.

Mia sends hugs back and enquires if you know of any other toes she can nibble.
The swords prog reminded me that I really need to get back into regular practice, seems that events these days are far to few and far between.

I could offer her [livejournal.com profile] catspur's toes, as Sugi-cat seems to find them quite acceptable.

Sword practice ... eep ... I definately could do with some of that.

Just so long as you know the holdey end from the business end you'll be cool, I'm sure you'll have plenty folks around you to protect you.
I didn't actually see any violence at the first event, mind you I did spend a lot of time in the Maelstrom and only got killed once, but it was for a good cause and I didn't have any problems coming back
:o)-
